USES 10-year anniversary seminar
Ultrasound enhanced electrospinning (USES), a needle-free electrospinning technology has now been developed for 10 years in a close research collaboration between the University of Helsinki, Electronics Research Laboratory of Dept. of Physics and the University of Tartu, Institute of Pharmacy. To celebrate our successful joint path and interdisciplinary research collaboration, we’ll have series of scientific lectures where we share the key results of our project and present how persistent research can take an idea all the way into a real device.
Therefore, we would like to invite you to participate to the USES 10 years anniversary seminar on FRI 10.11.2023 at the Exactum building in the Kumpula campus, room B123. We will celebrate our interdisciplinary research collaboration with invited talks from professors, Ph. D.’s and students, presenting both the history and the latest results from the ongoing collaboration. The talk topics include device physics, materials physics, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, food science and ultrasonics.
The event is held at the Kumpula campus of University of Helsinki and is free for all to attend during any time slot that best suits you. We would like to see majority of the attendees on-site to initiate fruitful discussions while enjoying coffee & snacks during the breaks. For those unable to attend on-site, we will also organize a remote participation possibility via ZOOM.
Key speakers:
- Prof. Ari Salmi (University of Helsinki, Electronics Research Laboratory)
- Prof. Jyrki Heinämäki (University of Tartu, Institute of Pharmacy)
- Associate Prof. Ivo Laidmäe (University of Tartu, Institute of Pharmacy)
- Prof. Edward Hæggström (University of Helsinki, Electronics Research Laboratory)
- Prof. Karin Kogermann (University of Tartu, Institute of Pharmacy)
EVENT DETAILS:
Time: FRI 10.11.2023 from 9 AM to 4 PM
